Oliver Fabio Piattella

Theoretical Physicist exploring the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy

Research Interests

My research primarily explores the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy. More specifically:

  • Dark Energy and the cosmological constant

  • Dark matter as a geometric effect

  • Theories of gravity alternatives to General Relativity

  • Redshift drift

  • Gravitational lensing and cosmological corrections to the bending of light

  • Cosmological inflation

Experience

Present and Past Academic Positions
  • Associate Professor at the Università degli Studi dell'Insubria (Present)

  • Assistant Professor (Ricercatore Universitario di Tipo B) at the Università degli Studi dell'Insubria (until 2024)

A collection of complex mathematical diagrams and equations displayed on a blackboard-like background. Various geometric shapes, graphs, and physics formulas are intricately detailed, showing a range of mathematical concepts from calculus to geometry and trigonometry.
