Research Interests

Most of the energy content of the Universe is associated with dark matter and dark energy, whose fundamental nature remains unknown. My work explores theoretical approaches to these open questions and their observational consequences.

My main research interests include:

  • dark matter and dark energy;

  • the cosmological constant problem;

  • modified theories of gravity;

  • alternatives to particle dark matter;

  • large-scale structure and cosmological tensions;

  • gravitational lensing;

  • the physics of the primordial Universe.

Experience

Present and Past Academic Positions
  • Associate Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Università degli Studi dell'Insubria and member of the Scientific Committee of the Como Lake Centre for AstroPhysics (CLAP).

  • Assistant Professor (Ricercatore Universitario di Tipo B) at the Università degli Studi dell'Insubria (until 12/2024)

A collection of complex mathematical diagrams and equations displayed on a blackboard-like background. Various geometric shapes, graphs, and physics formulas are intricately detailed, showing a range of mathematical concepts from calculus to geometry and trigonometry.
